About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Surveillance Security Officer to identify potential threats by monitoring security systems and observing activity. The role is based in Melville, New York, and is part-time, working Saturdays from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. for eight hours per week. The hourly wage is $17.50. A uniform is provided at no cost. Employment is contingent on successfully completing a background check and drug screening after an offer is extended.

Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Pass an extensive screening process.
• Have strong report-writing skills.
• Have sharp visual activity and exceptional concentration skills.
• Have strong proficiency with technology.
• Hold a New York State security license.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity.
• Document observed events and incidents in detailed reports.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Conduct regular patrols to help ensure premises are safe.
• Control access to secure areas and verify visitors’ identities.
• Analyze security systems for potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious situations or emergencies.
• Help ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
