About The Position

We are looking for a Full-Time Security Guard in Sault Ste. Marie to work at a busy office building. This post pays $18.50 hourly and is perfect for the security professional that enjoys working with the public. Applicants MUST be able to work the full schedule in order to be selected. Successful applicants will have well developed written and verbal communication skills, an outgoing demeanor and a background in security or customer service. This posting is for a current position within the organization. This could be more than a job! Requirements

Be authorized to work in Canada
Hold a valid security license
First aid certification required
Strong report writing skills
Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus
Strong proficiency with technology

Nice To Haves

Well developed written and verbal communication skills

A background in security or customer service

Responsibilities

Direct visitors and/or employees
Ensure the protection of people, property and premises
Control the entrances and exits with the equipment at your disposal
Actively deter unwanted and antisocial behaviour through regular patrols and an active presence
Observe and Report potential hazards to facility management
Respond to and take charge of emergency situations
