Mercy Retirement and Care Center - Security Guard - part time (Night Shift)
About The Position
Mercy Retirement & Care Center is seeking a part-time Security Guard to help keep its Oakland senior-care community and residents safe and secure. The center provides assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and rehabilitation services. The role is based on campus and pays $20.00 to $21.00 per hour. The Security Guard provides campus security by checking that doors are locked and walking the grounds, completes light maintenance requests as needed, escorts residents or team members to vehicles when needed, and assists with emergency response procedures in compliance with applicable state, local, and community guidelines. The role also promotes the Mission, Vision, and Values of Transforming Age.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- For California facilities, must hold a California Guard Card from BSIS.
- Must complete a background check and other state or local required pre-employment screening, which may include a drug screen, fingerprinting, physical, or other necessary items.
- Ability to walk around the campus or community for extended periods.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience as a security officer is preferred.
Responsibilities
