About The Position

Geisinger Behavioral Health Danville is looking for a Full-Time Security Guard/Driver to join their growing team. This role combines traditional security responsibilities with the opportunity to provide direct support to patients by assisting with transportation home upon discharge. The ideal candidate will be observant, customer-focused, and committed to creating a safe, welcoming environment while treating everyone with dignity, respect, and professionalism. Typical hours are 11:00 AM–7:00 PM, although the schedule may vary slightly depending on the needs of the facility and patient transportation demands.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two or more years’ experience in security, corrections or military.
• Valid state driver's license.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist, direct and monitor all persons entering and leaving the facility property.
• Keep accurate log books, as required.
• Direct emergency personnel arriving on facility property and maintain flow of traffic during emergencies, such as fire drills.
• Communicate incoming admissions, visits and deliveries to appropriate staff.
• Monitor parking area to ensure that no loitering or misconduct takes place, monitor lobby area and do frequent sweeps of the entire facility.
• Interact with staff and patients in a professional manner at all times.
• Report any suspicious behavior to the CEO, supervisor or a member of leadership.
• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
