About The Position

The Hilton Garden Inn Tacoma Downtown is looking to hire a Security Guard. This role involves securing the premises and personnel by patrolling the property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, and controlling access. The Security Guard will also be responsible for responding to alarms, preventing losses and damage, controlling traffic, documenting observations and incidents, maintaining building controls, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.

Requirements

Ability to patrol property and monitor surveillance equipment.
Skills in inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points.
Capability to permit entry.
Proficiency in sounding alarms.
Ability to report irregularities and inform violators of policy and procedures.
Skill in restraining trespassers.
Ability to direct drivers and control traffic.
Competence in completing reports, recording observations, and interviewing witnesses.
Ability to monitor and set building and equipment controls.
Knowledge of legal requirements.
Ability to contribute to team effort.

Responsibilities

Perform property walks and identify areas that need attention.

Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.
Maintain environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.
Maintain organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
