Requirements

Must be 21 years or older
Valid Guard Card required
Valid Driver’s License required
Minimum 3 years security experience required
High school diploma or equivalent required
Proven experience as a security officer or in a related role
Strong understanding of security procedures and public safety guidelines
Experience with incident reporting and documentation
Skilled in operating CCTV and security systems
Excellent observation and situational awareness skills
Strong communication skills and ability to stay calm under pressure
Physically able to stand, walk, and perform duties for extended periods

Nice To Haves

Prior dispensary or retail security experience strongly preferred
Previous dispensary or retail security experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Patrol and monitor premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, ensuring security of doors, windows, gates, and dispensary access points
Monitor and control entry/exit of employees, customers, vendors, and visitors in compliance with regulations
Maintain compliance with dispensary security protocols, including age verification and restricted area access
Write detailed incident and daily activity reports regarding theft, disturbances, property damage, or irregular occurrences
Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances promptly
Coordinate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary
Circulate throughout the dispensary to maintain order and ensure a safe environment for staff and customers
Operate surveillance systems (CCTV) and security equipment to monitor premises effectively
Screen individuals and prevent unauthorized access or prohibited items from entering restricted areas
Escort personnel when required and provide a visible security presence to deter incidents
Enforce rules and regulations, addressing violations professionally and safely
