About The Position

As a part-time unarmed patrol Security Guard at a financial institution in Jacksonville, Florida, you will help safeguard clients by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring assigned areas, and providing customer service and professional communication. The role includes documenting security-related activity and collaborating with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, subject to applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, members, visitors, and vendors by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding observed conditions, incidents, and policy violations.
