About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an unarmed Security Officer for a customer-service patrol driving role at a manufacturing and industrial location in Peoria, Illinois. The officer conducts routine and random patrols, maintains a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, supports access control, and provides customer service and communication. The driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal’s driver policy.

This is a full-time position paying $18.50 per hour. The scheduled shifts are 2:00 PM–10:00 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the facility perimeter; identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor entry procedures, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate logs of visitors, vehicles, deliveries, and other site activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following site-specific escalation and reporting procedures.
• Document observations, patrols, incidents, and maintenance concerns in required reports, and promptly communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
