About The Position

GardaWorld is seeking part-time to full-time Security Guards (8-32 hrs/week) for flexible work hours. This role involves filling in at different sites where coverage is needed, offering the opportunity to work when you want and make supplemental income. DailyPay is available, allowing you to access your earnings on day 1 of work. The position requires a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and excellent customer service skills. Guards must be adaptable to fast-paced and laid-back environments, remain vigilant, and be able to respond rapidly in critical situations. Computer proficiency is helpful for some sites, and the role involves observing, surveying, and reporting on activities at assigned locations. Guards are responsible for enforcing customer procedures, regulations, and standards.

Requirements

High school education or equivalent (GED).
Ability to pass an extensive screening process.
Valid Driver's License.
Reliable transportation.
Open availability, especially on weekends, holidays, and off-shifts.
Willingness to work at least one shift per pay period (every 2 weeks).
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to handle fast-paced and laid-back working environments.
Flexibility and ability to adapt quickly to changes.
Ability to remain alert and vigilant.
Ability to observe, survey, and report on activities.
Ability to provide rapid response in critical situations.
Ability to read and write detailed reports.
Knowledge of when and how to enforce customer procedures, regulations, and standards.

Responsibilities

Screening trucks at the gate, including seal cutting and checking driver paperwork.
Patrolling upstairs/downstairs and inside/outside the building at different points throughout the shift.
Performing paper log and extensive computer data entry.
Using computer truck yard management programs.
Answering phones and handling email correspondence.
Checking and logging visitor and employee access.
Operating metal detectors/wanding at the entrance.
Conducting vehicle patrols.
Performing lock-up tours.
Responding to emergencies.
