About The Position

JBS is seeking an hourly Security Guard Team Member for a second-shift position starting at $18.25 per hour. The role controls site access and supports trailer-yard and shipping/receiving operations. Work is typically performed outdoors and may involve exposure to cold or hot temperatures and other weather conditions. The position may also involve other duties as assigned. Requirements

Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Ability to walk more than one mile on varying terrain, in all weather, and up and down stairs.
Ability to perform assigned tasks without direct supervision.
Ability to communicate effectively under stress.

Professional attitude.
Ability to work any shift.
Minimum high school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

Strong computer skills are preferred.
Security experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Control access to the site or facility.
Manage daily trailer arrivals and departures, including detailed logs of inbound and outbound trailers, temperatures, and seal numbers.
Work with receiving, shipping, and other departments to support seamless operations.
Interact with drivers courteously, respectfully, and professionally.
Direct carriers to assigned doors or lot locations.
Conduct scheduled rounds in and around the building, including parking lots.
Conduct hourly trailer-yard audits and record trailer temperatures on a log sheet.
Provide bills of lading to carriers picking up loads as needed.
Observe and report unusual conditions, operations, and safety hazards.
Inform supervisors of issues or concerns.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
