Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925. Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, CGL's services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients. These include uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement, and identification services. This posting is for an upcoming vacancy for a Commissionaire to join the growing team. The role requires a commitment to serving the needs of clients and employees to enhance the organization's success.

Requirements

Ontario Secondary School Diploma
Valid Ontario Security Guard License
Valid First Aid and CPR certificate
Able to obtain a Reliability (Level I) Security Clearance
Minimum 5 Years of Residency in Canada
Ability to stand for long periods of time and complete frequent patrols
Ability to work alone while maintaining a high level of service to the client is essential
Highly reliable
Work well under pressure
Able to work with minimal supervision
Ability to multitask
Professional who takes pride in dress, deportment and performance at all times

Responsibilities

Ensure access control policies and procedures are followed and client property is secured
Monitor CCTV cameras
Maintain positive attitude and professional working relationships with employees, visitors and clients
Complete site reporting requirements, daily logs and written reports
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and deportment
Maintain effective communication
Respond to alarms and calls for assistance
Provide assistance to employees, clients and visitors
Regular interior and exterior foot patrols
Other duties as may be required by the client or site supervisor
