About The Position
Commissionaires BC is seeking casual on-call security guards for an RCMP Call Centre/document centre site in Kelowna. This role requires an RCMP Reliability Clearance, which can take up to six months to obtain. Candidates must be prepared to remain engaged throughout the clearance process and associated waiting period.
Requirements
- A valid BC Security License
- A valid Basic First Aid (OFA 1) certificate
- Have resided in Canada for 5+ years and be a resident or PR for clearance purposes
- Willing to go through RCMP clearance process
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills
- Fluent English written, verbal and reading skills
- Excellent customer service skills
Nice To Haves
- Prior security experience in a similar environment
Responsibilities
- Static front desk security control/access control
- Escorting site visitors
- Perform regular exterior and interior building patrols
- General administration duties
- Report all incidences to the Site Supervisor and provide investigation report.
