About The Position

Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health is opening in April 2025 as the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in over 25 years. This enhanced integrated delivery system aims to provide high-quality care to all District residents, particularly those in Wards 7 and 8. The hospital will feature 136 beds (expandable to 184), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and newborn delivery services, an ambulatory pavilion, a 550-car parking garage, and a helipad. We are seeking a Security Guard - SPO (Part-Time, Evenings) to provide safety and security services, protecting patients, personnel, and property by enforcing laws and policies. Security Guards will determine appropriate actions during emergency situations.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or commensurate experience required.
At least two years (2) of leadership experience.
Must complete CHRMC Hazardous Materials Training for Generators within 60 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

Leadership in an Environmental Services leadership position preferred.
Previous experience in a hospital environment preferred.
Experience working in a union environment preferred.
Experience using LEAN or other similar performance improvement methods to transform operations preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide safety and security services.
Protect patients, personnel, and property by enforcing the laws and policies of the District of Columbia and the Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center.
Determine appropriate actions during emergency situations, as appropriate.
