As an Unarmed Security Professional at a government services location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication to visitors and staff. Requirements

  • Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, entrances, common areas, grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed, and report unauthorized access, suspicious activity, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, incident documentation, and shift communications.
