Requirements

  • Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Possess CPR and First Aid certification, preferred.
  • Possess CPR certification, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, program participants, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report access concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
  • Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns accurately and promptly in accordance with site requirements.
