About The Position

Patrolling & Monitoring: Conducting regular foot or vehicle patrols of the premises to identify risks, such as unauthorized persons or safety hazards like fire and water leaks. Access Control: Managing entry and exit points by verifying identification, issuing visitor passes, and operating equipment like metal detectors and X-ray scanners. Surveillance: Monitoring CCTV camera feeds and alarm systems in real-time to detect suspicious behavior or security breaches. Emergency Response: Acting as a first responder during medical emergencies, fires, or criminal acts, including performing CPR/First Aid and coordinating with law enforcement. Reporting: Maintaining accurate daily logs and writing detailed incident reports for management or legal purposes. Rule Enforcement: Warning individuals of rule infractions and evicting trespassers using authorized force if necessary.

Requirements

• Typically requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Most regions require a valid state-prescribed security guard license (e.g., SIA in the UK or state-specific "Guard Card" in the US).
• Capability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods and respond quickly to physical threats.
• Ability to handle confrontations calmly, provide customer service to guests, and communicate clearly under stress.
