About The Position

The Security Guard supports the safety and security of a student housing community. The role maintains a visible presence, monitors access, conducts routine patrols, and responds to incidents in a courteous and timely manner to help create a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and guests.

The position works in an office environment and frequently encounters outdoor elements that may be unpleasant or hazardous. Routine local travel and occasional overnight travel are required for training, property visits, and special projects. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in emergency situations.
• Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
• Ability to walk, stand, and patrol for extended periods.

• Prior security or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the property regularly to deter unauthorized activity and ensure resident safety.
• Monitor building access, cameras, and security systems.
• Enforce community policies and report violations as needed.
• Respond to emergencies, safety concerns, and resident requests for assistance.
• Complete accurate incident reports and daily activity logs.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with residents and visitors.
• Communicate with property management and local authorities when necessary.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
