About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Licensed Driver Patrol for an assigned manufacturing and industrial site in East Syracuse, New York. The position provides fixed weekend shifts as an anchor schedule, with a six-month commitment to the assigned site and weekly shift. The employee may also claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of as many as 40 hours per week while retaining the option to scale back.

The role provides customer service while carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency-response activities. It involves unarmed patrols, monitoring access, responding to incidents, and maintaining reports. The stated pay rate is $21.25 per hour. The fixed schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State guard license.
• Possess a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees while carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, production areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter, identifying and reporting unusual conditions or security concerns.
• Monitor access points and support visitor, contractor, and delivery screening in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notify appropriate personnel, and document activities as required.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate relevant observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
