As a Security Guard State License Patrol Role in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, Shelter, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting residential and shelter locations, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, staff, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential and shelter locations, including common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter spaces, noting unusual activity and/or conditions.
  • Monitor access to the location by observing arrivals and departures, verifying permissions when required, and helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or policy violations.
  • Complete routine activity logs and incident reports, document observations with accuracy, and support a respectful environment through professional interaction and de-escalation when appropriate.
