As a Security Guard Full Time Patrol Associate in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic tech and telecommunications location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. In this role, you will support a welcoming environment through clear communication, teamwork, and integrity while bringing an agile, reliable, and innovative approach to each shift.

Requirements

  • Possess 6 or more months of security-related experience.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and security-related policies at a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and support emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including operational areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials, and document visitor, vendor, and delivery access in accordance with site requirements.
  • Prepare clear reports on incidents, observations, and unusual activity, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
