About The Position
Carries out onsite security activities to ensure the security of staff and customers in the center. Maintains building accessibility and related security procedures, including visitor logs and sign-in and sign-out procedures. Monitors the facility, recommends security improvements, follows escalation procedures for security threats or issues—including evacuation procedures—and reports security breaches. Participates in coordinating fire drills and mock evacuation exercises. Conducts regular physical inspections of the facility and reports security or safety issues to the supervisor. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of 47-hour security guard training.
- Registered Security Guard with the Division of Licensing Services or current active police officer.
- Three years of experience working as a security guard.
- Training and experience working with electronic monitoring systems.
