About The Position

As a part-time Security Guard Tablet Screener at a logistics and distribution location in Indianapolis, Indiana, you will help maintain a secure environment by screening people and materials, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. The role involves using computer or tablet tools, providing professional customer service, and assisting with loss prevention. The listed schedule is Monday and Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The pay rate is $17.22 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements imposed by state or local laws and regulations before employment, if applicable.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Experience with access control and badge systems.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and other personnel while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and property entering or exiting the location in accordance with established procedures.
Monitor screening equipment and access points, identify irregularities, and report suspicious activity or policy violations to appropriate site contacts.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, facility access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
