Requirements

Must complete the Commissionaires Security Officer Course
Must be able to obtain a Level II (SECRET) security Clearance
Must be minimum 19 years of age.
Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
Proficiency with computers and security technology (e.g., CCTV, access control systems, alarm systems).
Physical fitness and ability to perform duties requiring standing, walking, and patrolling for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the facility, ensuring only authorized personnel and visitors enter. Verify identification and issue temporary passes as needed.
Conduct regular patrols of the premises to detect and deter any suspicious activity or potential security threats.
Operate and monitor surveillance systems, including CCTV cameras and alarm systems, to identify and respond to any security breaches.
Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies, taking appropriate action to resolve the situation and minimize risk. This includes coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as required.
Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports, daily logs, and other security documentation as needed. Maintain clear communication with supervisors and other security personnel.
Provide assistance and guidance to visitors and employees, ensuring a positive experience while maintaining security standards.
