About The Position

Southeast Airport Services is seeking a dependable, professional, and observant Security Guard to help provide a safe and secure environment at the Amelia and Jefferson parking garages operated by the City of Orlando. The role involves monitoring garage activity, conducting routine patrols, assisting visitors, identifying and reporting suspicious activity, and helping protect employees, customers, vehicles, and property.

The Security Guard patrols assigned garage areas, maintains a visible security presence, responds to emergencies, enforces applicable garage rules and access-control procedures, and documents incidents and daily activity. The role also includes reporting maintenance and safety concerns and communicating with supervisors, property management, and emergency personnel as needed.

Work locations are the Amelia Garage and Jefferson Garage in downtown Orlando. The schedule may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs. The position requires regular patrols and interaction with the public in a parking garage environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous security, customer service, parking operations, or related experience preferred.
• Ability to remain alert, observe surroundings, and respond appropriately to changing situations.
• Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions, written procedures, and established reporting protocols.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and professional conduct.
• Ability to pass required background checks and meet applicable client requirements.
• Valid Florida Class D Security Officer License, if required for the assigned position.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to patrol multiple levels of a parking garage and use stairs when necessary.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors under varying weather conditions.
• Ability to communicate clearly and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned parking garage areas, including entrances, exits, stairwells, elevators, and pedestrian walkways.
• Monitor garage activity for suspicious behavior, safety hazards, unauthorized access, and potential security threats.
• Maintain a visible security presence to deter theft, vandalism, trespassing, and other inappropriate activity.
• Assist customers and visitors by providing directions and responding professionally to general inquiries.
• Observe and report incidents, accidents, property damage, suspicious packages, and other security concerns to the appropriate supervisor or authorities.
• Respond to emergencies according to established procedures and notify emergency services when necessary.
• Enforce applicable parking garage rules and access-control procedures within the scope of assigned duties.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation.
• Communicate with supervisors, property management, and emergency personnel as needed.
• Identify and report maintenance concerns, unsafe conditions, spills, lighting issues, and other hazards.
• Follow company policies, client requirements, and applicable safety and security procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
