As a Security Guard Full Time Badge Audit Patrol in Newport News, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access control activities, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and document observations using computer or tablet systems. Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing and industrial work areas, building exteriors, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying visitor, contractor, and delivery credentials in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Report maintenance concerns, hazardous conditions, and unusual activity observed during patrols to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
