About The Position

Join a dedicated team that values safety, teamwork, and service! We’re seeking a reliable and professional Full-Time 3rd Shift Security Guard to ensure the safety of our patients, residents, visitors, and staff, as well as the protection of corporate property. The ideal candidate Schedule Full-time position Third shift: Tuesday–Saturday, 10PM – 8:30AM, (4) 10 Hour Shifts Some flexibility may be required for coverage.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Minimum 6 months of security officer experience required
  • Ability to develop a basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in our community
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with individuals from all backgrounds and levels of authority
  • Capable of assisting during fire or emergency situations
  • Must pass a pre-employment motor vehicle background check and annual review
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 6 months of previous experience working as a security officer.
  • PPS certification Required
  • Basic knowledge in the repair of mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment.
  • Good writing skills to complete reports.
  • Ability to interact with individuals of all cultures and levels of authority.
  • Ability to assist in firefighting and evacuation.
  • Must be able to drive on company business purposes.
  • Must pass a pre-employment post offer motor vehicle report, as well as annual motor vehicle report.
  • Our community requires proof of COVID-19 vaccination, or apply for and receive an approved exemption as a condition of employment.
  • In addition, Southminster may require proof of your vaccination status for MMR, Chicken pox, hepatitis and the flu.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safety and security for all people and property on campus
  • Enforce all federal, state, and local regulations
  • Patrol the community, inside and outside, and CCTV monitoring
  • Ability to assist with minor maintenance requests, monitor electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, and escalate requests as needed
  • Assist with alarm responses (both medical and fire), incident reporting, assisting in fire drills and evacuations
  • Monitor parking with team members and residents
  • Escort outside vendors and emergency personnel as needed
  • Ability to drive a pick-up truck and golf cart
  • Maintain compliance with all organizational and departmental policies
  • Complete detailed and accurate written reports
  • Always uphold professional standards and perform other duties as assigned
