About The Position

The Security Guard will be responsible for maintaining order and safety within the hotel premises. This role involves patrolling the interior and perimeter of the hotel, observing for potential security and safety risks, and responding to emergency conditions. The guard will also assist guests, handle policy violations, and monitor security systems.

Requirements

Requires grasping, lifting, and/or carrying or otherwise moving persons, packages, luggage, wheelchairs, and safety equipment using manual dexterity of hands.
Requires verbal communication using device, bending, stooping, and kneeling.
Ability to be available to work on a regular basis.

Nice To Haves

One year of hotel security experience is highly preferred.
Marriott brand knowledge is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct foot patrols of the hotel's interior and perimeter to identify security and safety risks.
Maintain order and assist guests with their welfare.
Respond to emergency conditions such as fire hazards and threats to life or property.
Handle policy violations to ensure the security and safety of guests, associates, patrons, and property.
Observe for suspicious persons and conduct walk-throughs of the hotel.
Promote safe work practices.
Answer security and safety calls and respond promptly.
Monitor security systems for unusual activity and report suspicious behavior or alarms.
Memorize and monitor the life safety system, including building layout, alarm pull stations, fire extinguishers, and sprinklers.
Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
