About The Position

The Security Guard Overnight position is responsible for maintaining order and safety within the hotel premises during overnight hours. This role involves patrolling the interior and perimeter of the hotel, observing for security risks, and responding to emergency situations. The guard will also handle guest welfare, address policy violations, and monitor security systems to ensure the safety of guests, associates, patrons, and property.

Requirements

Ability to grasp, lift, carry, or move persons, packages, luggage, wheelchairs, and safety equipment using manual dexterity.
Ability to communicate verbally using a device.
Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel.

Responsibilities

Conduct foot patrols of the hotel's interior and perimeter to identify security and safety risks.
Maintain order and ensure the welfare of guests.
Respond to emergency conditions such as fire, safety hazards, and threats to life or property.
Address undesired conduct and potential policy violations.
Monitor for suspicious persons entering, exiting, or loitering around the building.
Conduct walk-through observations of the entire hotel.
Promote safe work practices.
Answer security telephone and safety calls and respond based on priority.
Observe security monitors for unusual activity and report suspicious behavior.
Memorize and monitor the life safety system, including building layout, alarm pull stations, fire extinguishers, and sprinklers.
Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
