About The Position

Security Guard’s primary responsibilities are to carry out tasks that provide safety and security to the campus associates, students, and guests. All Concorde associates are required to display professionalism and uphold Concorde’s Mission and the core values of respect for the individual, integrity, teamwork, customer service, and achievement.

Requirements

2-3 years as a security guard
Ability to stay levelheaded and respond quickly in stressful situations
Comfortable kneeling, carrying, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods of time
Ability to perform continuous physical exertion as needed

Responsibilities

Assume overall responsibility for the safety and security of designated areas
Ensure students and guests have proper credentials for accessing buildings to include issuing guest badges
Directs guests to the front desk or Dental Hygiene Clinic
Observe premises for unwelcome visitors
Opens building in the morning
Keeps a daily security log and completes incident reports and required documentation for all security incidents
Monitor alarms and security cameras
Respond to emergencies and incidents within designated areas promptly
Escalate emergency situations to law enforcement as needed.
Identify potential security risks and respond accordingly including alerting the Campus President of security issues
Interacts with parking lot security managed by landlord on potential issues
Stays on premises until evening guard arrives for transition
Perform other duties, as assigned
