SECURITY GUARD
About The Position
Stonington Institute, a division of Universal Health Services (UHS), is seeking a Security Guard for its facility. Stonington Institute provides substance abuse treatment options for adults, including medical detox and residential addictions treatment. They also offer partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment. The Inn at Trails Corner is a new 180-bed sober living community for clients attending outpatient programs, offering accommodations, meals, and recreational facilities. Universal Health Services (UHS) is a large healthcare provider with a strong record of achievement, recognized by Fortune and Forbes. UHS operates acute care hospitals, behavioral health facilities, outpatient facilities, and more across the US, UK, and Puerto Rico.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous security/safety officer experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Attend shift report meetings at the beginning of each shift.
- Monitor all buildings and grounds.
- Enforce rules and regulations, including curfew.
- Check all windows, doors, and locks.
- Inspect outside grounds for trespassers or unauthorized activity.
- Ensure company vehicle(s) at the site are locked and secure.
- Complete documentation as required (rounds checklist, HPRs).
- Report on any outside maintenance issues, including the cleanliness of guest areas.
- Submit an end-of-shift report daily, including incidents, supportive documentation, and details about any confiscated contraband.
