The Security Guard is responsible for the security of the campus, campus vehicles, residents, and staff. The role includes patrolling buildings and grounds, responding to campus emergencies during the security shift, securing buildings and equipment, monitoring vehicle traffic, and documenting incidents and hazards. The Security Guard may also provide emergency maintenance or housekeeping support and non-emergency residential services when these do not interfere with security responsibilities. The position requires familiarity with campus facilities, emergency systems and equipment, utility shut-off locations, and procedures for resetting the HVAC chiller and fire detector panels. For California candidates, a valid and current California Security License is required. The pay range is $14.66–$19.43 per hour. The employer offers a benefits package to full-time employees.
