About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional Flex Officer to serve and safeguard clients across industries such as healthcare, education, and finance. Officers use a shift-pickup platform to view and claim open shifts based on their availability, gaining experience at different sites. The role may involve irregular shifts with little to no advance notice. The stated pay rate is $19.00 per hour, and a valid driver's license and open availability are required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Valid driver's license if driving a company- or customer-owned vehicle.
• Must have open availability; may be called to work irregular shifts with little to no advance notice.
• Must be at least 18 years old, or older if required by state law (21 years old if armed).
• Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments.
• Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors.
• Ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public.
• Effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to write clearly and accurately.
• Active listening and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to assess situations, identify critical issues quickly, and mediate conflict tactfully and diplomatically.
• Teamwork and attention to detail.
• Must satisfy applicable background investigation and drug-screen conditions of employment.
• No prior experience required.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to speak, read, and write multiple languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Arabic.
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Watch for unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or contact police or fire departments in case of fire or unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to help prevent theft of company property and ensure removals meet client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors courteously and professionally.
• Make emergency notifications as required by site Post Orders.
