About The Position

Sheraton Kauai Coconut Beach Resort is seeking a Security Guard to help ensure the safety and security of guests and staff. The role calls for a strong work ethic, excellent communication, and the ability to think quickly and remain calm in high-stress situations while providing exceptional service and helping keep the property safe. The position is full-time and pays $24.00 per hour. A sign-on bonus incentive pays $150 at hire, $300 after 90 days, and $500 after six months.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior security or law-enforcement experience; hotel experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Ability to remain calm in high-stress situations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of emergency procedures.
• First aid/CPR certification.
