Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or drivers by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, and documenting entry and exit activity.
  • Monitor entrances, gates, and/or designated access points to help support authorized access, visitor processing, and delivery coordination at the location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through appropriate site and Allied Universal channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, and access areas to help identify unusual activity, unsecured points of entry, and/or other security-related concerns.
  • Complete required reports, logs, and communication records related to access activity, incidents, and/or observed conditions in accordance with site procedures.
