This facility provides critical support and stabilization services for individuals experiencing behavioral health crises in a safe, structured environment. Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Valid Georgia Driver’s License with a clean driving record
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Strong observational and problem-solving skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately in high-stress or crisis situations
Basic computer skills for documentation and report writing
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as an unarmed security guard
Training in de-escalation techniques
Strong conflict resolution and customer service skills
Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in high-pressure situations

Responsibilities

Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of individuals, staff, and visitors
Maintain a visible presence to deter inappropriate or unsafe behavior
Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and alarms in accordance with established procedures
Assist with de-escalation of tense situations using appropriate techniques; only as a last resort after clinical staff has tried all de-escalation techniques.
Control access to the facility by verifying identification and monitoring entry/exit points
Document and report incidents, accidents, and unusual activities accurately and in a timely manner
Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to maintain a safe and supportive environment
Conduct routine safety checks of the facility and report hazards or maintenance concerns
Provide assistance and direction to visitors, staff, and individuals served as needed
Follow all organizational policies, procedures, and safety protocols
