CSB of Middle Georgia is located in Dublin, Georgia, and the agency currently serves residents of Bleckley, Dodge, Johnson, Laurens, Montgomery, Pulaski, Telfair, Treutlen, Wheeler, and Wilcox counties in Georgia; and in our Ogeechee Behavioral Health Division, serving residents of Burke, Emanuel, Glascock, Jefferson, Jenkins, and Screven counties in Georgia. LOCATION: Dublin, GA  The Community Service Board of Middle Georgia (CSBMG) is seeking dedicated professionals to join our team at our new state-of-the-art Behavioral Health Crisis Center (BHCC). This facility provides critical support and stabilization services for individuals experiencing behavioral health crises in a safe, structured environment. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent 
  • Valid Georgia Driver’s License with a clean driving record 
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening 
  • Strong observational and problem-solving skills 
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately in high-stress or crisis situations 
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and report writing 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays 
  • Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as an unarmed security guard 
  • Training in de-escalation techniques
  • Strong conflict resolution and customer service skills 
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in high-pressure situations

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of individuals, staff, and visitors 
  • Maintain a visible presence to deter inappropriate or unsafe behavior 
  • Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and alarms in accordance with established procedures 
  • Assist with de-escalation of tense situations using appropriate techniques; only as a last resort after clinical staff has tried all de-escalation techniques.
  • Control access to the facility by verifying identification and monitoring entry/exit points 
  • Document and report incidents, accidents, and unusual activities accurately and in a timely manner 
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to maintain a safe and supportive environment 
  • Conduct routine safety checks of the facility and report hazards or maintenance concerns 
  • Provide assistance and direction to visitors, staff, and individuals served as needed 
  • Follow all organizational policies, procedures, and safety protocols
