As a Security Guard Unarmed Patrol Incident Prevention in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer supporting a public transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide courteous assistance to passengers, employees, and visitors. You will communicate observations, respond to security-related concerns, and contribute to a welcoming environment. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to transit employees, passengers, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, perimeters, and other assigned locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, requesting additional assistance and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, damaged property, and policy violations to designated personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for incidents, patrols, and security-related observations.
