Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and authorized contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned facilities, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, reporting unusual conditions, hazards, and policy violations.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain accurate logs and records in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as required.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access and prohibited activity through a professional presence, observation, documentation, and timely escalation of security-related concerns.
