As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail shopping location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support guests and tenants with courteous service, clear communication, and timely reporting. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

• Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, tenants, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including addressing disturbances, medical calls, and alarm activations, and coordinating with mall management and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, corridors, restrooms, parking lots, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Control access and monitor activity at entrances, loading and service areas, and other designated points; assist with wayfinding and document security-related concerns reported by shoppers and store personnel.
• Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and patrol activities; communicate shift updates and follow post orders and/or client instructions while maintaining a professional presence.
