As a Security Guard - Driver Patrol in Waterloo, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location as an unarmed patrol officer. In this driving post, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. You will support daily operations with professionalism, reliability, and integrity while working as part of a team that puts people first.

Requirements

Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 19 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouse spaces, parking areas, and perimeter access points to help identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site policies.
Prepare clear reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities, and support Allied Universal and site leadership with timely communication regarding security-related matters.
