As a Security Guard - Driver Patrol in Waterloo, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location as an unarmed patrol officer. In this driving post, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. You will support daily operations with professionalism, reliability, and integrity while working as part of a team that puts people first.

Requirements

  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 19 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouse spaces, parking areas, and perimeter access points to help identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site policies.
  • Prepare clear reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities, and support Allied Universal and site leadership with timely communication regarding security-related matters.
