Job Description As a Security Guard - Security Dispatch Operator in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Dispatch Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will coordinate responses to security-related calls, track officer activity, monitor cameras and alarms, and document incidents using computer-based tools. You will be a steady point of contact for tenants, visitors, and onsite teams, helping communicate clearly and quickly when issues arise. Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Being able to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property management by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor access control systems, alarms, and video surveillance and/or building management notifications to identify security-related concerns and communicate updates to appropriate contacts.
- Dispatch officers and coordinate responses to calls for service, maintenance issues, and incident reports, providing clear directions and timely status updates.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and preparing reports for Allied Universal management and/or property representatives.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, garages, and perimeter routes as assigned, helping to deter unwanted activity and noting hazards and/or irregular conditions.
