About The Position

We are seeking a security guard to add to our security team. Security personnel follow our policy and procedure manual to ensure the safety of members and staff alike. Security guards are unarmed, and must put safety first, reporting any incident to law enforcement to respond. Security staff must be courteous and assist members as they arrive at the club. Unauthorized persons are to be cautiously approached, and tactfully asked to leave as the club is private property. Our Security team is expected to welcome every member and guest that arrives at the Club. We strive to provide our members and guests with a personalized service experience that creates a positive, memorable experience – while ensuring that only authorized individuals can gain access to the club’s grounds and facilities.

Requirements

Security experience preferred in the hospitality industry
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to follow rules and orders in a professional manner
Ability to enforce rules in a professional, kind, courteous manner
Ability to remain calm and composed in a variety of situations
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
Maintain security cell phone on at all times – monitor for calls/messages
Ability to pass a background/motor vehicle check
Must be able to drive security vehicle throughout premises

Responsibilities

Welcome each vehicle arriving to the club – actively greet each member, guest, staff, and vendor upon arrival.
Review reports with events, reservations, tee times, and activities to always know what volume of business to expect and which members, guests, or parties to expect to arrive next.
Participate in day-to-day operations of the property to ensure the safety and security of all members, guests, staff, and property.
Verify and confirm the purpose of the visit for any individual arriving to the Club without proper credential. Utilize resources – guest registration form; reservations lists; tee sheets; member listings; and/or management to ensure visitors are expected prior to allowing entry. Direct any trespassers to depart the premises.
Assist in providing guests direction to the proper location within the Club for the event or activity they are arriving for. Assist in managing the flow of traffic for large private functions, tournaments, or member events.
Communicate to other departments via radio or office phone to know to expect guest of member or guest of staff to arrive to their area and in what make/model of vehicle they are arriving in.
Provide members, staff, and caddies with new or replacement parking permits.
Follow all Emergency Response Procedures. Respond properly in any emergency or safety situations. Document all incidents in connection with incidents or injuries.
Assist in special investigations and any other duties as requested by management.
