As a Security Guard Screener in Pooler, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, screen people and property, and support daily operations through routine patrols, visible presence, and exceptional customer service. Requirements

  • A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen individuals, personal property, packages, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and established screening protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, prohibited item findings, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access to shipping, loading, and distribution areas.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting unusual activity, damaged barriers, and/or access control issues within a fast-paced logistics environment.
