Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a shelter location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support residents, staff, and visitors through strong communication and customer service while bringing our values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to each shift.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a shelter location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating observations to site leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the building, common areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and visitor activity, assisting with check-in procedures, policy awareness, and authorized access practices in alignment with post orders.
• Support a respectful environment by reporting maintenance issues, behavioral concerns, and/or unusual conditions that could impact daily operations at the location.
