As a Security Officer Routine Site Patrol in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities in a professional manner.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office areas, lobbies, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity to help support authorized entry and report concerns according to post instructions.
• Support a professional environment within a technology-focused location by remaining visible, assisting with routine questions, and/or escalating security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
