About The Position

As a Security Guard Response Patrol in Council Bluffs, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a dynamic construction and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and report security-related concerns. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial construction location.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating information through established site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of active work areas, perimeter boundaries, entry points, parking areas, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor and document visitor, contractor, and delivery access in accordance with site requirements, verifying authorization and directing individuals to designated areas.
  • Prepare clear and accurate reports regarding patrol observations, incidents, hazards, and unusual activity, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
