About The Position

As a Security Guard Patrol Response in Sioux Falls, SD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a retail and mall setting, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with visitors and staff while supporting a welcoming environment. Requirements

  • Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random foot or vehicle patrols of retail and public-access areas, parking areas, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual activity and policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and vendor activity, reporting unauthorized access attempts, suspicious behavior, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
