You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points, and provide professional customer service. Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, public areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, documenting arrivals, incidents, and other required information.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Prepare accurate reports and maintain communication with Allied Universal leadership and site representatives regarding incidents, patrol findings, and security-related concerns.
