In this role, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help to deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions taken according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials when required, and communicate with site contacts, public agencies, and/or first responders regarding security-related concerns.
  • Support a professional environment by assisting with crowd management, directing foot traffic, and addressing questions or concerns from occupants and visitors in a courteous manner.
