As a Security Guard Part Time Patrol in New York, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule, requiring a six (6) month commitment. In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through the scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites, working part-time hours one week and full-time the next, as desired.
Requirements
- Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent (or GED).
- Be at least 21 years of age (or 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles).
- Ability to pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Ability to pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Ability to meet licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations prior to employment.
Nice To Haves
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
