As a Security Guard Patrol Badge Associate in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, staff, and/or visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a shelter location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and/or critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the building, common areas, entry points, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and other security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and resident traffic to help support site rules, visitor procedures, and authorized access practices while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Complete routine reports, logs, and incident documentation, and communicate noteworthy activity, maintenance issues, and/or policy concerns to the appropriate personnel.
